Purchasing Executive

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and analytical Purchasing Executive to oversee procurement activities within the agricultural industry, with a focus on sourcing agrochemicals and related materials. This role involves negotiating with both local and international suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing of chemicals that meet regulatory and quality standards. The ideal candidate will coordinate closely with production, warehouse, and quality teams to maintain optimal inventory levels, support smooth operations, and contribute to continuous cost improvement initiatives

Key Responsibilities:
• Source and negotiate with local and international suppliers for raw materials, packaging and services
• Handle production planning and product costing coordination
• Issue purchase orders and track delivery timelines
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and inventory levels
• Liaise closely with Warehouse, Production, and QC teams
• Evaluate supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Support cost-reduction initiatives and continuous supplier development

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role (manufacturing or chemical industry preferred)
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
• Able to work independently and perform under pressure
